Summit Hills Welcomes Ashley Wood as New Activities Coordinator

Spartanburg, S.C., July 24, 2009 - ) Summit Hills, a luxury, all-inclusive retirement community owned and operated by Senior Living Communities in Spartanburg, S.C., welcomes Ashley Wood to their staff as activities coordinator.
Wood will engage the mind, body and soul of each resident by implementing a diverse activities program designed to meet their interests and needs. Supervised by the director of member services, she will modify and develop activities to align with the six dimensions of wellness: emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual and vocational. Wood will also encourage participation and utilize suggestions from residents to better enhance their quality of life.
Prior to joining Summit Hills, Wood worked as an activities assistant at Rolling Green Village in Greenville, S.C., where she developed various activities for assisted living residents and monitored their progress. She also has experience with multiple customer service applications from her time working as a department manager at Pure Country Weavers, Inc. in Lynn, N.C., and an assistant manager at Ingles in Boiling Springs, S.C. Wood graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate, concentrating in education, psychology and art history.
