Summit Hills Gives Back to the Community; Fights Hunger through Gourmet Dining

Spartanburg, S.C., March 27, 2009- Summit Hills, an upscale Continuing Care Retirement Community in Spartanburg, South Carolina, raised $5,000 earlier this month for Mobile Meals through their participation in the Annual Land Cruise auction by donating a gourmet 5-course meal for 50 people.

For the second year in a row, Summit Hill's donated item won the highest bid of the night and brings their two year contribution to $10,000. The dinner will be held at Summit Hills in the Monticello Dining Room in May on a Saturday night of the group's choosing.

"This was a tremendous donation by Summit Hills," said Susan Spirers, Mobile Meals Director of Development. "It was not just about the dinner, but the overall involvement from the Summit Hills staff and residents."

Summit Hills resident and chairman-elect of the board added, "Summit Hills involvement in the charity speaks highly of the organization and shows they care about the community. My wife and I have been involved with this organization for years and we learned very quickly how lucky we are after seeing the tremendous need in the community."
